After discovering her fiancé cheating on her moments before their wedding, kind-hearted kindergarten teacher Lucia is forced into marriage anyway—until notorious mafia boss Nico Romano storms the ceremony to collect a massive gambling debt. When Lucia is handed over as payment, she finds herself trapped inside Nico’s dangerous world as nanny to his traumatized young niece, Gianna, who has not spoken since her parents were murdered. As Lucia slowly bonds with Gianna and begins uncovering the protective, deeply loyal man beneath Nico’s ruthless exterior, an intense attraction grows between them.
